Pilot Application
Before you apply
What this will take
There are 20 places. Applications are reviewed as they arrive and the pilot closes
once the places are filled, so applying early gives you the best chance.
- Everyone accepted receives the Transition Course, which is about
one hour of video plus short knowledge checks. - The Refresher cohort adds roughly one hour and forty five minutes
of video. Allow about four hours in total, including the knowledge checks and your
feedback. - The Practitioner cohort adds roughly five hours and forty five
minutes of video across ten modules. Allow about eight to nine hours in total. This is
the fuller commitment, so please choose it only if you can give it the time.
You can work through it whenever suits you, in as many sittings as you like. There
are no live sessions and no deadlines beyond submitting your feedback at the end.
New to the HHSRS? You do not need to have worked with the 2006
system to follow the Transition Course. It explains how the reformed system works and
why it changed, and the Practitioner Course then builds your competence from first
principles.

Apply for one of 20 pilot places
Every accepted participant will receive free access to the HHSRS Transition Course. The 20 participants will then be split into two private pilot cohorts. The 10-person Refresher Course is for people previously trained in the 2006 HHSRS. The 10-person Practitioner Course is for people who have never completed HHSRS training.
What participation involves
Every accepted participant receives free access to the live HHSRS Transition Course.
Previously trained in the 2006 HHSRS? Join the Refresher Course. Never completed HHSRS training? Join the Practitioner Course.
Your pilot place is conditional on submitting the completion feedback after finishing your assigned pilot course.
What happens after you apply
HSA reviews each application manually so the pilot group stays small, relevant and useful.
We check your role, experience and which course route fits your previous HHSRS training.
Accepted applicants receive free Transition Course access, plus private access to either the Refresher or Practitioner pilot course.
Pilot places are free on the condition that participants complete their assigned course and provide end-of-course feedback.
